Created in celebration of America 250, A Mosaic of Freedom honors Hattiesburg veterans whose service helped defend our nation and whose leadership, work, and commitment continued long after they returned home. Presented as part of America 250 Mississippi and its theme, “Power of People and Place: Mississippi is the American Story,” the mural stands as a lasting tribute to sacrifice, service, and the enduring contributions of Hattiesburg’s people to the American story.
