Downtown Hattiesburg Sculpture Park
ONLINE DONATION INFORMATION
A Permanent Public Space Shaped by Art and Design
Montague Sculpture Park will bring a permanent collection of commissioned original sculpture to the heart of Downtown Hattiesburg. Featuring eight large-scale sculptures, the collection will be curated by HAPA through nationally distributed calls for artists, creating an experience and art collection that are uniquely Hattiesburg. Supported by the City of Hattiesburg, the project brings together public leadership, private investment and community partnership.
A Vision Takes Root
Made possible through the generosity and vision of Doug and Becky Montague who founded HAPA in 2014, the Sculpture Park reflects their lasting commitment to public art in Downtown Hattiesburg and provides an anchor for HAPA’s rotating sculpture exhibitions and growing national reputation for public art.
A Vision Already in Motion
The Montagues have contributed $350,000 and overseen constuction of the park and the commissioning of the first sculpture. With the park nearing completion, HAPA has dedicated $50,000 to the project and is seeking additional contributions to complete the sculpture collection.

A Permanent Collection That Reflects Hattiesburg
HAPA is building a permanent collection that celebrates Hattiesburg and its cultural icons. Gifts to the Hattiesburg Alliance for Public Art are tax deductible, and 100% of each contribution goes directly to the commissioning of sculpture.

Recognition
Donors will be recognized in ways that reflect their level of support and the character of Montague Sculpture Park. Visionary and Creator gifts include recognition connected to a commissioned work or the overall collection. All donors at the levels above will be included in project recognition. Final recognition details will be confirmed with donors and designed to respect the integrity of the artwork and the public nature of the park.

Art That Belongs to Everyone
Montague Sculpture Park will be a free and accessible destination ideally located between some of Downtown Hattiesburg’s most popular attractions, including the Saenger Theater, Hattiesburg Pocket Museum and The Lucky Rabbit. The sculpture park will create a welcoming, walkable addition to downtown while further identifying Hattiesburg as an arts destination. Your gift will help bring original works of art to life and leave a lasting legacy in the heart of Hattiesburg.
