Open Call – Sculpture Show
4th Annual Competition
After a multi-year hiatus from the COVID-19 pandemic, Hattiesburg Alliance for Public Art (HAPA) is pleased to re-launch its sculpture competition and exhibition with a call for entries for its 4th outdoor sculpture competition.
Since its initial outdoor sculpture competition in 2016, HAPA has exhibited dozens of sculptures and purchased six works for its permanent collection. For this 4th show, HAPA seeks nine to twelve striking outdoor sculptures to be exhibited for two years, with installation occurring in March 2025 and removal in March 2027.
Each of the selected artists will receive an honorarium in addition to consideration for purchase. One sculpture in the competition will be purchased to become a part of HAPA’s permanent collection. This new addition will be added to the 18 large-scale sculptures already found in Hattiesburg.
All applications must be electronically submitted by 5 p.m. on Friday, January 31, 2025.
No late or incomplete applications please. There is no application fee.
